​Pet Shop Days follows Alejandro (Darío Yazbek Bernal), the impulsive son of a Mexican crime lord, who flees to New York and enters a chaotic, hedonistic romance with Jack (Jack Irv), a troubled pet shop worker. The two quickly spiral into a dangerous underworld of substance abuse and reckless crime while Alejandro's past catches up to them. Directed by Olmo Schnabel, this gritty thriller features heavy-hitting supporting performances from veterans Willem Dafoe, Peter Sarsgaard, and Emmanuelle Seigner as the duo's dysfunctional parents.
